Brooklynn Nine-Nine Season 7 Finale
I have been a long time fan of almost anything entertaining and that especially means tv shows and movies. For I long time I've always wanted to write my own reviews. Whether be on a blog or discussing them on my future youtube channel. Binge-watching shows and movies have always been a past time of mine, but I've never been able to talk with anyone about the shows and movies I watch. And I'm sure my friends are tired of me talking their ear off about things they've never seen. So what I would like to do with this blog is to copy my mind to the page and tell you guys how I feel about what I'm currently watching. This I've decided to write about comedy show Brooklynn Nine-Nine. A show I have been binge-watching these past few weeks.
Since its first episode the comedy show, Brooklynn Nine-Nine has captured the hearts of many. Part of the reason being that it's an unorthodox take on an NYPD precinct and its detectives. This show has always shown off its comedic prowess with the help of its amazing cast which includes Terry Crews and Andy Samberg. In this show, Samberg plays detective Jake Peralta at the 99th precinct in Brooklynn. Peralta is married to co-worker Sergeant Amy Santiago, who is currently pregnant. In this episode, it is Santiago's last day on the job before she goes on maternity leave. Immediately following this announcement power is lost throughout New York City. Throughout the episode, Santiago takes control of the situation as her commanding officers are trapped in the elevator, but what makes this situation interesting is the Santiago is in labor the entire time. All the while Peralta is stuck in the badlands of NYC trying to get back to the Precinct so he can witness the birth of his son.
After watching this episode I concluded that this was one of the best episodes of season seven. Throughout the episode, the show demonstrates just how funny and serious they can be. The show definitely has its bright spots when it comes to the comedy in this episode. One of my favorite parts included Detective Peralta having to use a mobile bar with a few drunk girls in order to get to Amy. My favorite scene came at the end of the episode when Lt. Jeffords and Captain Holt dancing to Salt n Pepper in order to distract Santiago from the pain of her labor.
Overall I have to give this episode an 8.5 out of 10. The finale was hilarious from almost finish to end, but it also showed that it can be serious at times as well. If you are reading this and have never watched Brooklynn Nine-Nine then I would seriously recommend it.
